    Pump Street Workshop - Terms and Conditions



    It is important to us that our customers have all the information they need to have a positive experience. We have outlined all the essential information below along with our terms and conditions. If there are any questions you have then please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.



    1. By booking any of our courses, gift vouchers or other items, you agree to accept our terms and conditions.

    3. Please read the full course description prior to booking. The following is included in the price of our courses:

    • The use of equipment, protective clothing such as aprons and oven gloves, and ingredients needed for the specific class booked. This is limited to the duration of the course.
    • Refreshments such as tea, coffee and cold drinks at the beginning of the class. 
    • Where specified in the course description, lunch is provided. This is the case in full day classes only. 
    • In the instance that items made on the course are available to take home please note that these cannot be resold.

    1. Pump Street Workshop reserves the right to make changes to the course content, structure of the day, tutor and recipes without prior notice.
    2. Please bring confirmation of your order/booking number. Either on screen or printed.
    3. The cost of travel, accommodation and any other cost associated with getting to the Workshop are not included in the courses.
    4. Age Requirements: Our courses are strictly for those over the age of 16 unless otherwise stated in the class description. Those aged between 16 and 18 must be accompanied by an adult who has also booked a space on the same course.
    5. Special Requirements: In order to provide the best possible experience, please let us know when booking if there is any way we can provide assistance for any physical, mental or other requirement.
    6. Dietary Requirements and Allergies: We can cater for most dietary requirements or allergies if notified at the time of booking, either through the booking process or by email and phone. Please note however, that as a bakery, ingredients containing gluten are present throughout our process and we are unable to prepare food that is guaranteed to be gluten free. 
      1. We cannot change the allergens present within the courses themselves so please read the course description carefully before booking.
    7. Illness: For the protection of others in your class, please contact us before attending if you have experienced sickness or diarrhoea less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled class. If you are taken ill whilst at the Workshop please inform a member of staff immediately.
    8. Skills and experience levels: All of our courses are designed for people of all skill levels unless otherwise stated in the course description. If you feel unsure then please contact us and we can discuss the course details with you to help you make a decision. We accept no liability if you book a course that is not suited to your skill level.
    9. Health and safety: You will receive a briefing at the start of the day that will cover the specific health and safety information for your chosen course. You will be given any appropriate PPE such as aprons for the duration of the course but these items must be returned. Please wear comfortable flat soled shoes with covered toes. Long hair must be tied back and only wedding bands and stud piercings may be worn during the class for food safety reasons. We cannot be held liable for any damage to clothing or other personal belongings so please take this into consideration. Your safety is important to us and if you have concerns prior to the course or during then let us know.
    10. Booking and payment: All bookings include a non-refundable £25 administration fee. Our current accepted payment methods are displayed on our website.
    11. Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your booking please contact us via email with your order number, if you cancel 28 days or more prior to the course in question you may receive a refund minus the non-refundable booking fee of £25. Any cancellations within 28 days of the course cannot be refunded.
    12. Transfers: Any changes to an existing booking will incur a £25 admin fee. If you cannot attend a course you may send another person in your place up to 48 hours in advance. If you wish to transfer your booking to another course you may do so up to 28 days prior to the course start date.
    13. Refunds: Any authorised refund may take up to 30 days from receipt of request. It can only be paid back to the original payment source. We are unable to refund courses booked as gifts or made using gift cards as payment. The amount will be reissued as a gift card to be used within 12 months.
    14. A £25 admin fee will be deducted from any refunds due after the cancellation of a course.
    15. If a voucher or gift is refunded then the expiry date of any new vouchers will be from the original purchase date and not the date of refund.
    16. We accept payment via Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit, Visa Credit, Mastercard Credit, American Express, Union Pay, Diners Club, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Discover and Paypal. Unfortunately we are not able to accept cash or cheques as payment for Workshop courses and events.
    17. Non-attendance: Any non-attendance without prior notice will not be eligible for refund or transfer.
    18. Cancellation by Pump Street Workshop: In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the course onto which you are booked, a full refund will be offered or transfer to another course. Refunds will be paid within 30 days. We will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible using the details provided at time of booking, please ensure these are correct and up to date.
    19. Accommodation, travel and associated costs: Pump Street Workshop cannot be held liable for any third party costs such as travel and accommodation. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself from costs incurred in travelling to, or booking confirmation for you, your course, in case for any reason you are not able to attend. 
    20. Gift Vouchers: Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They can be used to purchase a course that starts outside of the 12 month period if the transaction is within the 12 months from issue.
    21. Discount Codes: When we offer discount codes please note that only one code can be used against a transaction. For information on the usage and limitation of a code please refer to the details of the specific offer.
    22. Bespoke classes, private bookings and venue hire: All quotes supplied by Pump Street Workshop are valid for 7 days and must be accepted via an email reply to the original quotation. To secure the booking a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Full payment must be received no later than 14 days ahead of the event date. All payments for bespoke classes, private bookings and venue hire are non-refundable.

    24. We take some posed photographs and some candid photographs through the course of our experiences. The posed group photographs are displayed on our “Family Wall” at the Workshop. We will ask for your permission to take these photographs and use them for this.
    25. We will also ask for your permission to share these via our social media channels, our website and in print on the pre-course questionnaire. By giving your permission you also acknowledge that you and your fellow participants are able to take images for personal use.
    26. As a business we hold ourselves to high standards of conduct, communication and conflict resolution. We also honour our responsibilities to protect equality and diversity in the workplace. We expect the same standards of anyone attending our courses. If an attendee’s behaviour or communication towards a fellow participant or a Pump Street team member is deemed disrespectful or inappropriate, intimidatory or otherwise unacceptable - we reserve the right to terminate their attendance of the course. Course attendance ended in this way will not be subject to any rights of refund or rebooking.
    27. Accessibility: The Workshop is accessible to those who use a wheelchair or for whom stairs are challenging via a short ramp. The door width is a minimum of 750mm. Wheelchair accessible toilet facilities are available. There may be short portions of the courses that involve a tour of the bakery or chocolate factory, some of these areas are not accessible. Please speak to our team when booking to find out more and to allow us to make arrangements for you in this instance.
