PASTRY CHEF
FULL TIME

We are welcoming applications to join the Pastry Team at our small, family-run artisan bakery. A keen interest in
baking, particularly viennoiserie and patisserie, is essential.
Employees in the Pastry Team must show enthusiasm for their work and demonstrate a clear understanding of
key organisational skills within a kitchen environment. Successful candidates will have a proven record of
experience and taking on responsibility in previous work placements.
Ability to work under pressure is crucial, meeting demands in regards to production and maintaining quality of
every product.
You will be allocated responsibility for a section within Pastry, where you will be expected to work independently,
on day to day tasks within the kitchen.


Duties will include
- Making and baking a range of patisserie and viennoiserie and sweet doughs
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen throughout the day
- Partaking in daily cleaning tasks and weekly deep cleaning tasks
- Maintaining records of food safety
- Working independently on shift, with confidence and responsibility
- Be flexible with early morning shifts
(i.e. fluctuations in busy periods, and co-workers taking vacation)
We are looking for an individual who
- Loves food and drink and has a keen interest in pastry, ideally with previous professional pastry
experience
- Thrives on the success of meeting demands in a productive kitchen
- Shows initiative and confidence but is also a team player
- Holds a key understanding of the importance of food hygiene and safety, maintenance of records, stock
rotation, quality control
- Is willing to do early morning shifts and weekends

- 2 consecutive days off per week
- 5 consecutive days working per week


Weekend work is required
Average shift weekday: 4am-1pm or 7 am – 3pm
Average shift weekend day: 3am-11am
