Often the hardest part of giving is finding just the right thing. We've worked to make that part easier by carefully considering every part of the experience, from what we make to how it's wrapped, packed and delivered.
Only a tiny fraction of chocolate in the world is traceable to a named farm. We think the provenance of our chocolate is directly connected to the pleasure of both giving and receiving it.
Knowing exactly where each bar came from, who grew it, how it was made - all this makes the chocolate gift mean more. It gives you the confidence to send a gift knowing it was grown with great care, on a named farm, and sourced ethically. For the person receiving, when they open the gift and read the wrapper, there's something to discover. A farm in Jamaica, a cooperative in Togo, a family estate in Madagascar. Something they might already love or something entirely new.
If you already love a certain Pump Street chocolate bar or box, you might settle upon choosing this for a gift. There is also a whole range to explore - single origin darks, creamy milks, dipped fruit & nuts, bakery bars made with our own sourdough and pastry. The adventure of choosing precisely what to give is part of the fun.
Cacao is one of the most flavour-complex foods in the world. It's the terroir in which cacao is grown, on different soils, in different climates and tended by different hands, that allows it to taste completely different from farm to farm. Our Jamaica develops notes of sweet juicy berries and a honeyed rum finish. The Madagascar is vivid with citrus mellowing into tropical fruits. Peru brings lemon sherbet and blackberries. Togo - a creamy Swiss milk - has notes of baked cheesecake, nutmeg and fudge.
Please get in touch if you would like some recommendations on what to give, or simply choose something you would love to receive yourself.
You can read more about how we make our chocolate in our journal - Our bean to bar process.

From our bakery come the baked goods gift boxes.
Receiving a box of fresh sourdough and Eccles cakes on a Friday morning is a wonderful treat, with the bread baked that day they are packed and the pastry still at its best.
Our Eccles cakes are made with our own French butter puff pastry, filled with Armagnac-infused currants, raisins and brown sugar.

Our sourdough loaves are moist and toasty. They’ll arrive with a good crust and an open crumb.
The Pastry Box brims with an assortment of the morning's baking - an Eccles cake, a brownie, coconut macaroons, a flapjack and chocolate chip cookies.
Some of our chocolate bars are also made specifically to celebrate the best of our bakes. Our Bakery Series Gift Box brings together three of them - Sourdough and Sea Salt 66%, Rye Crumb, Milk and Sea Salt 60%, and Cookie Chip 60% - embellished with our own baked goods and a perfect gift that shows both sides of what we do.
All bakery gifts are made to order, dispatched on Thursdays and arriving fresh on Fridays.
With each order you make, we have the option to add a handwritten note to go with it. Someone from our team will write it by hand for the person you're sending it to.
Our gift cards are made by Aspen Press (a Letterpress based in Orford, Suffolk) from a premium 300gsm Somerset white cotton and have our logo de-embossed, ready for any gift message of your choosing.

If you have a particular request, a specific combination of products, something personal you would like included (perhaps a detail that matters for the person you are sending to), you can reach our team directly. We are contactable over the phone or by email during the week and you'll speak directly to those packing your order with care and attention. We want what you send to feel right for the person receiving it, and weendeavour to help you with the process.
It is not just what you give but how you give it that matters. We have thought carefully about how our products are packaged, since the experience of receiving something should be just as exciting as what is inside.
Our chocolate bars are wrapped in plastic-free packaging. Our chocolate gift boxes have a paper tray that slides off its sleeve to show the three bars, each wrapped in gold foil and paper. Our Craft Chocolate Bar Tasting Boxes open like a book to reveal the bars arranged inside. All packaging is fully recyclable and plastic-free, designed to arrive looking as good as it did when it left us.
We take care not only in the packaging the chocolate is wrapped in, but the boxes in which get sent out to you too. Every order is delicately placed in a crisp tissue paper, enveloped and sealed with a Pump Street sticker.
Our Pump Street Workshops take place in our dedicated teaching space in Orford. The Exploring Craft Chocolate Class is a two-hour session led by our team - starting with the farms where we source our cacao, guiding you through our process, and giving you the chance to taste chocolate in various stages of production, something we have until now only allowed our expert chocolate makers to do. The experience ends with the opportunity to select some of our bakery inclusions and create two of your own bars to take home.

We also run sourdough, pastry and other baking classes.
For chocolate, we offer free first class delivery on orders over £35, with next working day courier available for orders placed before noon Monday to Thursday, so even a Thursday morning is not too late to send something that arrives the next day.
For bakery gifts, orders placed by Tuesday 10am arrive fresh that Friday.
If you are not sure what to choose, our team would be happy to help. You can email us at info@pumpstreetchocolate.com.
Our e-gift card allows your recipient to choose their own chocolate or bakery gift. Available from £10.
